I need to be on top of my budget as the wedding nears so we can pay off all of our vendors and have money to spend on our honeymoon. I can't wait for Hawaii, I need a vacation.
Luckily, Memorial Day weekend is just around the corner so we do get a three day weekend. We're going camping with some friends.
So here is my budget for the next two weeks.
Starting Balance = $1337*
Credit Card - 150
Wedding Savings - 700
Wedding Makeup Deposit - 50
Perkins Loan - 93
Law School Loan - 80
Groceries - 75
Healthcare - 40
Misc. - 149
*Look at all that money. Did I get a raise, you ask? No. After speaking with our financial advisor, I decided to reduce my 457 contributions so that I can contribute more to a Roth I.R.A. first. I am still saving 2% pre-tax and will post more about the Roth later on.

Yay! Hawaii! We're going to Hawaii for our honeymoon too (this November) . . . Oahu and Kauai. Just curious how you went about booking your trip to get a great deal as we're pricing various packages/flights/hotels right now.
Booking our trip was a maze of hotel points and credit card miles. Because my fiance travels so much for work we got one roundtrip ticket from California to Hawaii and 7 nights hotel stay for free. We just have to pay for air fare out to California and a few more hotel nights. Hawaii is expensive! Hopefully I will find some budget friendly tips to share on the blog.
